Ghe Pel Ling ONLUS assists the Institute in reaching its main objectives: to cultivate and develop the motivation for kindness and help to the others and for engaging in concrete actions of solidarity.

The Institute is a confessional association whose purpose is to spread the knowledge, study and practice of the highest levels of Buddhist philosophy, according to the Gelugpa School which offers, in a complete and pure way, the Buddha’s answers to those who seek them.

Among the ongoing projects needing support, the non-profit organization promotes:

– The creation of a school for young monks (from the first grade to middle school) within the Dharamsala Monastery so as to blend the ordinary course of studies with the spiritual path.

The funds collected are aimed at the creation of the school building, to pay for the salaries of the teachers and for the training of young monks.

These, in fact, must develop the ability to build sand mandalas, sacred butter sculptures, to perform dances and ritual songs, all activities for which these monks got to be known.

The day of the monks is divided into several hours of study: two hours of learning in sacred art, three-hour philosophy class, two and half hours of debate and many hours of personal study and meditation. To achieve the degree of Doctor in Sutra and Tantra in the monks have assiduously studied for fifteen years after attending the normal state school.

– The non-profit organization promotes the distant adoption of Tibetan monks who live in the great monastic universities of Sera, Drepung and Gaden, in southern India.
